Regulated prices
The CNEE is responsible for defining and calculating the transmission and distribution tariffs for electricity that are subject to regulation.
This process is carried out while maintaining the sustainability of the system’s operation and in strict compliance with the current legal framework for tariff calculation. The CNEE performs tariff adjustments for the country’s distribution companies, authorizes improvements to transmission system infrastructure, sets transmission tolls, and conducts Distribution Value Added Studies (EVAD), in accordance with the General Electricity Law and its Regulations.
Tariff schedules
These are the tariff schedules that currently apply to regulated users of the electric power service.
Quarterly adjustments
The CNEE updates quarterly the calculation process for base tariffs and tariff adjustments for Empresa Eléctrica de Guatemala, S.A. (EEGSA), Distribuidora de Electricidad de Occidente, S.A. (DEOCSA), Distribuidora de Electricidad de Oriente, S.A. (DEORSA), and 16 municipal electric companies.
These adjustments ensure that tariffs reflect the actual costs of providing electricity service.

Toll calculation
The General Electricity Law states in its Article 6: Toll “is the payment earned by the owner of transmission, transformation, or distribution facilities for allowing the use of such facilities for the transportation of electric power and energy by third parties.” Then, in Chapter II, from Articles 64 to 70, the calculation of the toll is described.
The following documents contain the current toll values.
